A Sunday of fun, food and family
This morning we did something we have never done before...we walked to church! Grandma and Papa live just down the street from their church, so they let us walk. We had fun and made some new friends in Primary. When we got home had nachos just like we do at home most Sundays, but we invented a new recipe. We used Pizza flavored Doritos and put cheese and pepperoni on them. They were yummy!!!!!!!!! We got pudding for dessert and Kyo got it all over his face. I like the oranges and was being funny with them. Aren't we cute?
Great Grandma June and Uncle Crae and Aunt Lachelle came over for dinner and we had a good visit.

A Day of Adventure
Today is Saturday and when we woke up it was sunny outside. We played around the house in he morning and played with a few neighbor kids then we went off to the canyon for the rest of the day. We did quite a few things today that we had never done before.
It is fast runoff in the American Fork river so Grandma stayed close to us, but she also let us have some fun. We threw rocks in the river, over the bridge and made big splashes, and even washed our sticky hands in the very cold water.
I (Kyo) could throw quite big rocks into the river.
Mcrae took his turn at throwing, too. He wanted the really big rocks, usually bigger than he could throw.
Aren't we cute.

Next we made our own foil dinners. We put hamburger, potatoes, carrots and onion soup mix in them. We were sooooooooo hungry and we ate them almost all gone. Next we roasted marshmallows....they were the biggest marshmallows we ever saw! We roasted them by ourselves and they didn't even catch on fire. They were so gooey, we got them all over our faces, and grandma licked it off...we laughed then washed our hands in the river.
Grandma and Papa are working hard to potty train me. I am doing pretty good with the peepee. They even let me try to go on a tree! and tonight I even pooped in the potty all by myself and got 8 jellybeans!!!! I was so excited to be a big boy.

Giant marshmallows and graham crackers and delicious but messy.
Am I one cool dude or what? Papa got us a new helmet to use when we go 4-wheeling. We went up the AF canyon today. I kinda liked, but Kyo really did. He even got to drive and use the gas lever. I think I will try it again. It was better the second time and we went a bit farther.
Kyo is a good driver.
Radical biker dudes!!

What a Friday!
When we got to Camp Granipapa, we asked if we could earn some money, so Grandma and Papa put us to work! Today, Friday, we collected more snails, picked up sticks on the side yard, vaccuumed the wood floor (we are messy), emptied the dishwasher and played laundry basketball. It's a game Grandma invented to put the dirty clothes in the washing machine. We were pretty good shots, too. And after our chores each day, we get a yummy popsicle.

We sure love the popsicles after all the hard work.
We tried to get out of this one, but we are learning to do a good and that sometimes it takes a while and not to give up. We wanted to quit right after we started, but Grandma wouldn't let us. We have to fill the bucket up. We got paid for our chores tonight and we were excited.

After chores this morning, we went to Chick Fil-A for a lunch of nuggets and fries...Mcrae's favorite. Then we went to Kohl's for dress shoes for Kyo, but we didn't find any to fit. Our reward for all those chores was an afternoon at Steel Days! There were rides, a park to play at and some fun treats to eat. Here's some pictures of us on the rides.
Mcrae is curious about this game, but he didn't play it, although a nice lady gave us a free dart to throw at some balloons.
This is Kyo playing at the Botanical gardens in Virginia, actually, but don't know how to delete it from here.
The boys driving a jeep. It went around quite a few times, but their favorite ride was the catepillar rollercoaster. They even went on a grown up ride that went around in circles. Mac loved it, but it made Kyo's stomach hurt.
Here's Kyo playing monkey at the playground.
And Mcrae being Spiderman, of course!

It was a fun day...we are doing lots of new things and going to bed tired at night for sure!!! Today, I (Kyo) told Grandma that they may be old, but they were very fun.

Snails, who needs toys and TV!
Who needs toys and the TV, when you can play with SNAILS!!! Grandma took us outside to go on a snail hunt in her yard. We weren't sure at first if we wanted to touch them, but then we did. If we touched only the shells it wasn't bad. Then we lined them all up on the driveway and had a snail race. They weren't very fast, but we got to see them up close. Then we poured salt on them and watched them fizz and bubble. It was gross when they turned into bright green slime. Grandma says they are pests and they eat all the good stuff in the yard, so it was okay to kill them. We had fun, so much so we are going to do this a lot!

In the afternoon we went to the Lindon Water park, but only for a short while. We weren't there very long before there was lightning and they told us all to get out. it kept on lightning so we left and went home, had a rest then went to Uncle Crae's and Aunt Lachelle's to play and go to Olive Garden for dinner. We had pepperoni pizza, yea!!!!!!! When we went back to their house, Uncle Crae took us down the driveway on his 4-wheeler. It was so fun...we need to get helmets so we can go some more.

Camp Granipapa 2011
It is the beginning of Camp Granipapa. It's a one month stay at Grandma and Papa's house here in Utah. The boys were so excited to come...they didn't even cry when they left dad at the airport. They were so good on the airplane...every one commented on how cute and good they were...and how talkative, but fairly quiet...Mcrae finally fell asleep 2 minutes before landing.

On the kids first day here in Utah, July 6, we took it kinda easy. We went to Mcdonalds in the morning...we had no milk for cereal, so off to Walmart after than for a few groceries...what good helpers they are. Kyo wrote out the grocery list, and they both helped pick out stuff and packed it into the trunk and then into the house.
It was a nice day, so we went down the street to the city park and played in the splash pad most of the afternoon. We dined on crackers, cheese and pepperoni, grapes and juice. The kids both built triple decker cracker sandwiches and managed to fit it all into their mouths. We left lots of crumbs for the birds. After a popsicle and a nap, they ventured outside to practice bike riding then dinner. We had a quick trip to the park cause Mac messed his pants (Potty training is starting heavy duty today). Baths and a bedtime story of "What We Did Today" ended with the kids sleeping under the stairs in the closet in sleeping bags. Great day today...wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Cozumel Dive Trip--May 2011
We went to Cozumel recently to dive with our son, Crae and his wife Lachelle. They just recently certified in scuba diving, so we all went and had a really good time...until we got caught in windshear on our landing in Dallas and thought we were going to crash! Cozumel was warm, water was crystal clear and the accommodations were good, too. A great trip. Here is a taste of the sealife we visited while there.
