Addysen, our newest granddaughter!
Addysen was born by C-section January 14, at about 8 in the morning. She was 7 lbs. 1 oz and 19 inches long. Noelle is home and doing well, but not running any races yet. Adam is still home on disability so he has been able to help her until he returns back to work in February. His cancer screening came back clear! We are so thankful. Below are a few pics on Addy's birthday.

As I was making cards in my craftroom this morning, this is who gazed in my window. We have several fawn that have decided to trim our bushes this winter. At least we won't have to do it this spring!

My Christmas Angel
Sometimes you experience such a sweetscene that amazes you that you just have to share it with others. Here is my story of Kyo, my 6-year old grandson:
Kyo sat at the breakfast staring at his peanut butter toast with tears in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" Papa said, "Don't you like your toast?"
"It's fine" Kyo says in a choked up voice.
"Well why are you crying then?" Papa asked.
"I don't have any presents," Kyo quietly said.
"Yes you do. You have many under the tree", said Papa cheerily. But to no avail. Kyo was still teary eyed and so sad.
"No," Kyo stated. "I don't have any presents to give anyone else!"
"OOHHHHHHHH" said Papa in amazement.
Who at 6 thinks about something this unselfish? Kyo does.
About this time grandma walks into the room and is filled in on the situation at hand. With a little thinking between papa and grandma, they take out the vaccum and have Kyo do some chores around the house so he can earn some money for Christmas presents. After happily vaccuming the hardwood floors upstairs (which is no small space by the way), picking up the toys all over the house, and putting his clothes away. Kyo, his little brother Mcrae and grandma are off to Target to do some serious shopping.
Kyo knows just what to get for everyone. He has noticed that dad has holes in his t-shirts, so he picks out a new package just his size. He knows Mcrae loves Ironman and that he likes "silly bands", so he picks out a package of Ironman silly bands just for him. But he doesn't want to see his surprise, so Kyo hides it at the bottom of the shopping cart where his curious brother won't see. Kyo has borrowed Papa's lip balm on several occasions this week, so he decides he needs some more. After picking out these gifts, he tells grandma that he has to buy her gift later with his dad helping him or it won't be a surprise if he buys it now. So cute!!!
This is a story I won't soon forget and this adorable child reminded me quite vividly about the true meaning of Christmas...giving not receiving.

Been Creating Again
Anybody who knows me well, knows that when I get stressed I create to relieve it. So this fall and winter I spent quite a few moments in my craftroom when I was in town. Thank goodness for paper and fabric...and my dear husband who allows me quiet moments to myself. He's a dear.
Below is the scrapbook page I created for my scrapbook group for Christmas.
This page was a challenge I took on to create a page using some old Stampin' Up papers.
For several years, my daughter, Noelle, has kinda asked me to make her family stockings like the ones I made for my family. I finally did it this year only I used more current colors and fabrics. I like how they turned out. Here's a sample of one of them, however, each one is a bit different.
Each year someone in my family gets a quilt...this year it was Crae and Lachelle's turn. Their old flannel plaid quilt just has to go...at least not in their newly decorated bedroom. They loved it!
For some reason I created these last night for Noelle's upcoming little girl and the soon-to-be big sister. Hope they like them...who doesn't like a bit of bling?!
